There are about 10,000 birds in the world that have been identified. To my surprise, in my lifetime I only saw about 200 birds, and a big chunk of them came from visiting local zoos, parks, and conservation areas. The biggest bulk of birds I have ever seen in one day or in a matter of two hours is at Jurong Bird Park, Singapore.
I browsed through my photo archives, and I counted about 75 birds. Luckily, I had a working camera that day, because I would never be able to remember all of them. The most interesting bird at that park was the shoebill (first photo below), which looked very much like a prehistoric bird with a very big bill and was tall like a stork. ~ Anna
