The essential ingredient of photography is light. If you just bought a new camera and you are not happy with the photos, do not blame your camera yet. I have seen some really good photos coming out from cheap cameras, and all this is due to good light availability at the time of the photo shoot. Snap some photos of the landscape on a sunny day - make sure the sun is behind you. You will see the difference. We all need light, and so does the camera.
