Today was really cold. I am exaggerating, but compared to hot summer days, it was cold, below twenty Celsius. However, it is still very green here. We had a few rainy days and some sunny days, so we got things growing again, but not for too long. It usually rains at night, so I cannot do much sky exploration these days.
The photos shown here are from the past; it's Canadian Thanksgiving 2003 here where I live in Aurora, Ontario. I took these when I got my first Kodak digital camera and abandoned the SLR because of the cost. So I am expecting the same fall colours this year, and I cannot wait because I have a few new toys to play with, like my wide-angle Sigma lens that I don't use too often.
Well, then let's talk about the beautiful fall. During the autumn season, the leaves become a bright rainbow of glowing yellows, sparkling oranges, reds, and warm browns. The yellow, gold, and orange colours on the trees are expected every year. But how about red? Red colours are a product of warm, sunny fall days and cool nights. However, nights cannot be freezing. So if you follow weather patterns and see this pattern in your area—meaning if you have four seasons—you are in for some nice red shades.

It's cold in the mornings and harder to wake up because we heat with wood and brrrr.

PS some cool shots of Venus on your blog.
These are three very nice fall photographs from last year. I cannot wait to see the new pictures of 2007!
I'm missing so much this wonderful season changes down here...I have only all year long these boring green palm trees...LOL..
These are breathtaking shots. I never cease to be amazed at your wonderful "eye" for just the right shot. I have so much to learn!

I love your autumn photos with all of the colorful leaves. I especially appreciated the great quote you included about the life in the years. God bless you and keep up the great work,
