Fallow Deer - Going for Food or Camera?

It appears that both deer are eager (Fallow Deer) to have their photo captured, but in truth, they are searching for nourishment.
I managed to capture numerous close-up shots of deer heads, and I'd like to begin with this particular one. The ears on these creatures are simply astonishing, but stay tuned for my upcoming post.

I believe I've captured an individual who possesses exceptional listening skills.

Wonderful photo....Do you have deers? =)

I have a photo blog and also a Christian blog: Hush of Life and TWJ Ministries
Great deer shot, Anna!!! We are on the same wavelength. :D Yesterday I had two does in my apple orchard, lifting their heads and eating the apples from the trees. BUT I had condensation on my windows and window screens aren't a great view to snap photos through. I'm soooo happy to see a great deer shot today since I lamented a lost opportunity all yesterday.

Hugs, JJ

Very nice shot, Anna!

We have down here in the Keys also wild living deers - but not in Key West itself.

Oh Anna you can see it in their expressions, "Feed me and do it now!" Amazing how quickly they learn :)

Sidharth, thank you for your email, and thank you for commenting, we do have deers here but and sometimes you can see them on the side of the road or crossing, but you have to be away from the city, but then I have seen them close to the city also. This one was taken at the zoo this summer, and the zoo is full of them. Thanks, and I will visit your blogs too. Anna :)

JJ it is nice to have the same thoughts, however, you must be very lucky to see a deer from the window of your house, and eating apples, what a great diet, lol. I am sure they will be back for more. I just put out additional bird feeder (little house), I got some new visitors, so I got to keep them busy. I think they are Junco, just need to verify again. Thanks for commenting like always. Anna :)

Kathy, more deer will be coming by, I got some great head shots with their huge ears, and I don't even have to crop them. Check in later, and thanks for commenting as always. Anna :)

Sussan, in that case I think I will have to bring more deer on my blog so you can enjoy them, lol. I once visited San Diego zoo, and I could not believe how many they were, they seem to be very popular, like here at our zoo. I guess they are easy to keep them, and people always enjoy them because they love to feed them. Thanks for commenting, it is appreciated, Anna :)

Max-e, you are absolutely right, unfortunately we were obaying zoo laws and did not feed them, but that is okay, they already came from the other car, just asking for more, lol. Glad you could make it to my blog, thanks Anna :)

Anna,

I love deers; they are sooo cute.
And you are right: their ears are something else (not only the aesthetic part of it, but also the way they function: they can hear from kms away)!

Awesome pic: congrats, again! Can't wait to see the following pictures :)

Cheers

Hi Anna;

Wow what a great image. So up close and personal! The ears are amazing but my favorite part is the hairs on the 2nd ones chin. The shape of the eyes is so suave! Gorgeous animals equally well presented…
Anna, very nice deer shot. I can't wait to see other great shots too.

Max, thanks for your comments, you are right, there are so cute and adorable. Sometimes we don't really pay attention to them that much at the zoo, but when we see them in the wild, you just want to catch one - something that is hard to do. Thanks for the info also, Anna :)

They absolutely look as if they are posing, Anna!

Lynda you are absolutely right. The van full of people front of us was feeding them with all kinds of stuff. So once they moved on, they came to us. The thing is it is nice to feed animals, but feeding them with the wrong stuff it does not really do any justice to the animals later. But then that is way there are zoo marshals. Still have the marshal being in charge of monkey areas, boy they listened to her, lol. Thanks for visiting and commenting Lynda, appreciated. Anna :)
