This is just a weekend post to inform you that the deer in my earlier post, "Oh Deer, These Are Big Ears," is actually a Kudu Cow (Tragelaphus Strepsiceros), an antelope. Thanks to Max-e from South Africa for giving me this hint; otherwise, I wouldn't know where to look. Maybe I would have just gone back to the zoo. Here is his photo of the Kudu Cow, and he doesn't have to go to the zoo to see it because it is very common in his area.
Unfortunately, Max-e had a heart attack a couple of days ago. The good news is that Max-e is on the way to recovery. For those who know Max-e from my blog, his progress has been updated by Suzie-k, and there is some information on Max-e's own blog. I wish Max-e a fast recovery. Blogging is turning out to be real life, where good news and bad news are shared worldwide. About a month ago, Peter from Scruffyhippos Blog also had a heart attack. We are all patiently waiting for his speedy recovery; however, no word has been said about his recovery. I hope all is well.
Sorry to leave you with this sad news for the weekend, but we must all remember that behind blogging, we are not just bloggers or virtual friends; we are real people. Have a good weekend, all of you.

I am so sorry to hear about Max-e and Peter :(. I wish them well, and a fast recovery :)!!!!
About the photo: is Kudu cow a park, in South Africa? The photo is gorgeous (now, I am nostalgic...I was born in Africa) :)!
Cheers
So you been born in Africa? Okay you becoming more and more interesting 'human' or 'girl', lol, my dear, by each comment you make. I am glad that the conversation takes place over the blog, that way we will never ran out of cool stuff to talk about.
PS Africa is on my list to visit one day.
Anna :)
You're welcome :)! I really wish them well.
Yes, I was born in Africa :)!
LOL I never run out of issues to talk about...it's a gift lol :).
You should visit Africa, it's a gorgeous continent :).
Cheers
I loved your words:
“behind blogging we are not just bloggers or virtual friends we are real people.”
I enjoy the raw humanity you bring to your thoughts, and appreciate the sense of friendship and community that you foster, those are admirable qualities.
I may not personally or even virtually know either person you have spoken of but thru your care and words I have then prayed for them, this means you have provided an opportunity for me to care for another and for this I thank you.
This time of the year seems to be very busy, work and family, and slowly I am getting myself back on the feet I should be back to blog. My funny theory is, with cold everything slows down, for example, water to ice cubes, and I think sometimes, it is not so much of work but me getting slower, lol. Thank you again for your kind comments, and soon as I get through my blog back log, I will be back to your blog, as I probably missed lot of good stuff on your side. Oh I still have your tag on the list, so sorry to keep you waiting. Anna :)
Thanks for all your wonderful comments, dear....
I'll try this again....
Thanks for you kind comment about some bloggers going through a tough time. Anna :)
I am back and on the road to recovery. Not yet running on all cylinders, but back, just don't have the stamina to do much at the moment, so I take it one day at a time.
Thanks for your thoughts and kind comments.
Sue and I were commenting the other day what a wonderful group of friends we have built up around the world through blogging.
I have found some photos of the a kudu bull, which I will post shortly so that you can see what the male of the species looks like.
Bye for now
Max
