Proudest Moment of My Life

Livingsword from Life on the Blade tagged me with this question: 'What is the Proudest Moment of My Life'. So it had to be the proudest moment of my life, and not just proud, lol. I read the Livingsword's post, and I said wow, then I moved on to who he was tagged by - the Trinity, and I said wow again, and so on. I picked up some great ideas, but then that would be cheating. The answer seemed very easy at first, however, when I started to think and think some more, and then my crazy imagination kicked in, and now I was sleeping on it, and so on. So the list was getting bigger and bigger. Every moment, little event, big event is just equally proudest or proud moment of my life, and I tell you there were not the proudest moments of my life too. Okay don't you get any ideas on that one, lol. I bet if I actually wrote my list here, you will be here for days reading it or after few paragraphs you may be gone, and I don't want that. So I decided to compact my proudest moments into these, one on the grand scale perspective and another more direct one.

Before I go on, I encourage you to visit Livingsword blog, Life on the Blade. Myself I clicked on his avatar one day because was cute and funny, and then I stepped back because I saw Survivor, lol, and then I came back because there was more. Yes in life we may be ignorant and we may shield ourselves from others for reasons such that, however, his respect and life wisdom made the true connection.

MY PATH IN LIFE
As much as we all want to have the perfect life, and we would like to draw for ourselves this perfect life path from the beginning to the end - it is nearly impossible, because our life path is constantly bombarded by all these external obstacles, and believe or not paths of the other people. On the end, all we can do is make wise choices only. So I am proud of my path in life, that includes graduating from university, getting a reasonable job, getting married to my hobby, and living simple good life. As we grow and mature, part of us want everything, fame, glory, and be rich. And I tell you there were moments in my life when I wanted those things too, and I had an opportunity, but something on the back of my mind kept telling me - you need to take this road instead, which also consisted of some rain pad holes. So where I am now and how I continue to live - I am proud of.
'Just trust yourself, then you will know how to live.' - by Goethe

MY GODCHILDREN
I and my husband were blessed to become the godparents to two wonderful boys, James and Michael. James is my sister's first child and first grandchild for may parents, and Michael is my brother's in law first child, and also the first grandchild for my in-laws. Being the godmother to those two boys, and also an aunt to James's little sister Rosie, makes me proud. And I am thankful for such a gift. Please read this quote as positive one, as I think it can be interpreted both ways.
'People will forget what you said, and people will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel' - by Astraea

NOT SO PROUD
I will go against the rule and I will throw the not so proud moment of my life, so you don't' get any ideas, lol. When I was in grade three I was assigned to thank priest at our church for something he did. The nun gave me four line poem to memorize. Since I knew that I had a bit of stage fear, through out the whole mass I would repeat the four lines of the poem over and over again. When the time came, I stood front of the priest with flowers, looked into his eyes, and I could not remember a single word from the poem - at the same time the church full of two thousand people went dead silent - imagine at that moment I was passing thank you from all these two thousand people. Well I had to say something, so I give him the flowers, I brought the microphone closer to me and said 'Thank You' - which on the end was one of the poem words, lol. To this day, I can remember this moment of my life of which I am not proud of, even others say, its nothing. Coincidently, just recently I had my hand writing analyzed and one of the things came up was that I do have ' long emotional memory ' - and the cryptologist was right.

YOU ARE TAGGED !
I am tagging all these bloggers below and I am dedicating this photo composition to all bloggers which to me symbolizes a wisdom I see in each of the bloggers I have selected and those who I did not (oh there is no particular order here, all weighted equally).
Bob from Astrostuff and Blackholes my very first blogger friend who always takes us on the real universe travels. Bob thought me to be a better blogger and showed me the blogging path I am glad I chose, and he encouraged me to take moon photos. In addition he gave me so many awards since my blogging, that I guarantee my regular visits to his blog for life.

JJ from Nature Shows and Dreams my 100% weather forecaster who takes us to next level of understanding of being one with nature. JJ is a unique person who photographs and writes about nature. All I can say is that JJ is a simple person with a beautiful heart, and this photo shows it all.

Lynda from PERIPHERAL VISION - Inner Sights by Lynda Lehmann my favorite inspirational artist, a true artist that takes us to the deeper levels of art through her imagination. Through her photography she zooms on the details and finds beauty that we sometimes may not see. It is a human nature to shield ourselves from the unknown or from something not within our taste, and through Lynda's art I explore the deeper meaning of my life.

Channel of Healing my teacher and mentor who takes as to the world of love and wisdom through bible stories and everyday laughther that we do need sometimes. Her true friendship and her true help that she provides to others is appreciated.

Susanne from Sue's Daily Photography, my Key West photographer and friend who takes us on to the dream tour of beautiful magical sunsets and sails that can only inspire us to live free. She captures moments of peace, moments of fun and moments of beautiful life.

Will from WillTaft.com my practical and resourceful blogger friend who is constantly guiding us in the direction of healthy living. His research and common sense is extraordinary. I strongly recommend to get to know Will yourself and learn from him. Oh and don't forget to read his bio, I was amazed when I did.

Peter from St. Vincent's Hospital Darlinghurst - Male Nurses my new friend who takes us to the world of caring and compassion for others. His long time career and experience being male nurse connected me with Peter because of experiences I had visiting and sometimes being in the hospital. Through our blogging conversations, even though we are in different professions, we found many commonalities in our lives, and imagine he is on the other side of the world.

Kathy from Photography by KML an extraordinary photographer who takes us through amazing imagery that every time you look at it - you want to be there, you want to have it, you enjoy it, it makes you happy, it challenges you, and lastly I have to say this one - makes you hungry, lol. Kathy is not just good in photography but everything else you see on the photographs.

Wow, Anna, I am so honored by what you said about my blog and art; it means a lot, coming from such a sensitive, creative, insightful and caring person as you.

I'm touched and will try to fulfill my "assignment" as soon as possible! Do I get an "F" if it takes me too long? ;-)

I know a few of the other bloggers you've tagged, and will have to visit the rest. Congrats to everyone whom Anna has picked! And thank you again, dear Anna.

Lynda no problem, and thank you for your comment, all I can do now is just give you smile and hugs. Thanks for taking this tag seriously, however, take your time, and you will find it can go both ways, either it can be very easy to answer or challenging, yet fun. So enjoy and I will see you around, still have the vision of your last post, I think I leave this one in my head and finish for today. Thanks again, Anna :)

My dear Anna, Your kind heart reaches way beyond the confines of the internet. I am so very honored to be included in your list and with these fine people!

Never worry if your posts are too long - they are worth reading every word and are also such a joy - you couldn't tear me away!

It will take me a bit of time to post this tag - the holidays, my job at this time of the year, and my mom who just broke her hip Friday night will be taking up a huge chunk of any extra time I was hoping to find.

I will post - I promise!

Many thanks to you, my friend!

Dear Anna…. I am truly humbled by your kind words my friend….

The genuineness with which you engage with others is commendable and endearing….I am thankful that our paths have crossed…

It is beautiful to have had a peek into your life; a life that seems blessed….your attitude is certainly laudable (admirable)….

It is interesting how the best in life revolves around relationships…Us humans are designed for relationship…with one another and with the Other…

I found your “not so proud” moment to be poignant (moving)….I have MANY things in my past that I am certainly not proud of, particularly before becoming a Jesus follower but it is amazing how He transforms the heart soul mind and lives of persons willing to be touched by Him…When you look at that short memory loss in the great scope of your life it is but a small piece of sand being eroded prepared to be pulled out to sea by the tide of life…

Wonderful photos and interesting tags I am looking forward to exploring…

Thank you so much for participating in this tag…it is a challenging one when a person takes time to ponder it…well done!

Hi Anna - And thank you so much for your kind comments! I'm glad you like my bio. Of course, I don't feel there is anything amazing about the life I have led so far. Just trying to live the best one I can and not try to worry much about different choices that could have been made.

I don't know that I have a proudest moment, exactly, but I am really proud of the way my children have turned out so far. I would hope that the choices I have made as a parent and role model in that area are a big part of the reason, but in the end it does not really matter why, just that it is!

I'll have to check out the Life on the Blade site you recommend. Interesting title. Perhaps they are hockey players!

-Will
Thanks, Anna, for the tag. It sounds like a fun one. Already proud moments have popped into my head.

I do live simply and probably have the most uncomplicated life of anyone you know. And Nature speaks volumes to me. I'm always listening and hearing her tales.

We're kindred spirits.

And I ADORE elephants. Once wrote a short story about one. Great photo!!!

Hugs, JJ

As a follow up to my comment earlier, I noticed the change Google made to the way comments can be posted on Blogger blogs. I really feel bad for all of you that use Blogger. I wrote a post on the power play Google is making. If you visit my site or the link below, you can read it. Please digg or stumble it and tell all your Blogspot friends to do the same or write their own post on it.

The more noise we all make the better the chance Google will rescind the change!

Hi Lynda just writing you again. No there is no penalty for taking too long as a matter fact you can take all time you need, lol. I have so many tags and other awards I got to work on that I think I will be busy until pass next year. I don't really like to rush into these things also, as I really find them very interesting and fun to do, and as well beneficial for others too as I enjoy learning about others and exploring their world of ideas, as I did with yours. I really think that blogging without a network of other bloggers has really not meaning. Thank you so much for your comments and visiting other bloggers, it is appreciated, and I will see you around. Anna :)

Hi Peter, I am glad and thank you so much for your kind comments. Yes, it took me a while at first to think about it and then write it too, but because I usually have a photo and quick post right after, I wanted to make my bloggers friend to come for a party once a while and share my appreciation for all their regular visits, and motivate me to write more and more. I know I slowed down a bit this month, but it will get better. Can you believe I haven't start my Xmas shopping and you are already getting Xmas gifts, lol. So how is you camera btw. Peter again thank you for your acceptance of this tag, and I am already curious, lol. Anna :)

Hi Bob, thank you so much for your kind comments too, and checking out the elephant photo. Yeah he was laughing at me how little visitors I had back then, lol, yes Bob very little comments, I think I am seeing zeros everywhere, lol. The coming long way is thanks to you, I think you sparked the right blogging idea in my head, and I hope I can return favor one day. I also thank you for being kind and visiting my other bloggers and creating larger network of friends. I am really curious to read your proud moments, are there space travels on the list, lol. Anna :)

Hi channelofhealing, thank you for accepting tag and please don't let me rush you - did you know they are not mandatory, lol? I hope you did not find anybody behind your shoulder, lol. Most of all thank you for your kindness, and as always for all your stories that teach me and jokes that make me laugh really loud, lol. Anna :)

Kathy, I am glad that you enjoyed my post, oh and I am sorry to hear about the broken hip. Hope it wasn't the snow's fault. We got lot of snow here, it feels all we do is drive in the snowstorms and traffic, shovel the snow and de-ice the driveway and car, and the same cycle continues almost every day now. As I mention, don't let me rush you and they are not really mandatory. Please do heal fast, this tag is something last you want to think about. Aside, thank you for you kind words, and because of your blogging, your photography and your regular visits to my blog I can return my thank you at least in a form of a small paragraph. Get well and I will see you around. Anna :)

Livingsword, you have given me so many kind words in your posts on your blog, that I really feel this is nothing. I don't mind telling the world about you. Hope you can get acquainted with some of my blogger friends, they are really good people, and even though all of them are coming from different directions, yet we are able to communicate and respect each others ideas, information and just enjoy each others friendship, like you said 'Us humans are designed for relationships...with one another and with the Other'. Also, I don't think it really matters what we did in the past, it all matters who you are now. As we are designed for relationships, we are also designed to change. About my not so proud moments - they usually involve others, I guess I was disappointed that I couldn't really deliver thank you note on behalf of many people. Thank you for tagging me again, it was real fun to participate. Thank you. Anna :)

Hi Will no problem, and yes I liked your bio very much. I think I know that you don't really feel amazing about the life you had so far, that is why you need someone to tell you. I really see the little things more rewarding than the big things sometimes, however, I think home schooling is a great accomplishment, especially that many. Will you are giving and caring person, and what you did for your children and what you write now in your posts reflect that. Hey we don't have to be presidents, CEOs, these are just titles that sometimes do not mean anything. However, I find the little things combined all together makes us better and better place around us. I tagged you but for some reason I knew what you were going to say, lol. BTW Life on the Blade watches hockey, and I don't remember if he does play hockey, you may want to ask. Thanks again, Anna :) PS thanks for the Blogger update, I know what you mean, and I wouldn't be able to notice because I am always logged into gmail and that opens everything else for me to access. I will check it out, but looks like pain. Sorry about that, but with time more people will complain hopefully, have you consider to convert to Blogger, lol? Thanks for the link, I will read your post. Anna :)

JJ thanks for accepting this tagging game, and yes it is fun. I knew you will be the perfect person for that and I can't wait for your results, however, as I am telling everyone, no rush and do it whenever you are ready. I can see that your life is simple, and this is the best life you can have. I am moving towards that direction also, and the more simple it is I am feeling much better about myself. I have gone to Bday party of a little boy this year, and he got so many toys - and the thought cross my mind, today's kids will not be able to remember and value toys as we used to value this one toy we got or that one toy we made. JJ keep up the good work and hope many can follow your foot steps, and start listening and hearing the tales of mother nature. Anna :) PS Why don't your republish your elephant story, I would love to read it.

kRiZ cPEc thanks for you kind comment. Yes not so proud is unforgettable one too, I guess because I disappointed so many people by not delivering my 4 line thank you poem, oh well I will have to thank everyone to make it up one day. Thanks for your visit. Anna :)

roentarre you very welcome, and thank you for your kind visit and comment, and reading about my blogger friends. Yes you are absolutely right, the elephants are almighty animals and hard working ones too. I never seen one on the wild. All my photos are from three zoo's I have visited in the past, mind you I think there is fourth one - The San Diego Zoo, but I don't remember if there were any elephants. Roentarre it is difficult to get a good shot of the elephant - I have to agree. This photo is one of many many taken every time I photograph them. BTW thank you for the award I am honored, I think I will have to look for a bit more sexy look of my blog now, lol. Thanks again, Anna :)

Hi Max, thanks and I am glad that I made you laugh. Now I think about it it is kind of funny, oh well, it was scary and emerassing at that time. Now whenever I did any presentation in school, I used to tell everyone, I have stage fear, so if something happens be prepared, and after that all goes well, That is my trick for now. Thanks for visiting and commenting Max, and again, I like when bloggers have fun. I think you were tagged by LS too, so I will be curious to read yours when it is out. See you around, Anna :)

Hi Will, no problem be my guest and try all you want. I don't mind. I know what you mean, and you are smart to experiment first before writing about it. Sorry that it is not working out for you. So I digged your article the other day, and it worked, after I digged it, look like 6 other people digged after me. I should try to figure out how I can digg my posts. Thanks again, and have fun, and please do not take my blog down by accident, lol. Anna :)

Anna - I think I remember digging on of your posts a while ago. I did it the long way, manually. Didn't I post a link to a site explaining how Blogger blogs can put a link in their posts? Maybe not, but I seem to remember it.

If I can find it again, I'll get it to you. I think it was a way for people to digg a post from a Blogspot blog with a click like on my site.

Stmbleupon is great too. They are different. Digg does not generate as many visits as a stumble, but the digg visitors seem more ready to comment. I have had as many as 700 visitors in a day from Stumbleupon with out a comment. I'll bet at least 10% of the digg visitors comment. I like digg!

Hi Hope, thanks for passing by, and your comment. You know this may be hard question to answer, because I don't remember exactly, but I will give you three possibilities:
1) BlogCatalog (not really sure)
2) Tagging Game (may be)
3) You left comment on someone's blog, I got it in the email, because I subscribed to follow-up, and may be you made the comment, I liked your comment and I clicked on your link to your blog(most likely)

Hope this helps, and Hope I hope to see you around, as you may see me too, lol. Anna :)
