Facts About the Scilla Town
Scilla is a charming little town in Italy once destroyed by an earthquake in 1908. It is also the traditional site of the sea monster Scylla of Greek mythology. The rocks of Scylla are described in ancient poems [Homer's Odyssey] as a danger to shipping.
Geographical Location: Scilla, Calabria, Italy [38°15'0"N 15°43'0"E] lies in front of the Strait of Messina, a narrow section of water between the eastern tip of Sicily and the southern tip of Calabria in the south Italy. Archived photo from my travel gallery - Italy, September 2006.

Thanks so much for your refreshing comments Roger. Anna :)
When I lived in Laguna Beach, one of the streets I traveled ended at the Pacific Ocean and the first time I drove it I was sure I saw a Whale. When I saw the same Whale in the same spot the next day I figured out it was a rock formation! but to me it will always be a lovely Whale.
