This is not the biggest Moon of 2009; however, it is only smaller by a few days and a bit eaten by the shadow. The weather did not cooperate this time, and I was very prepared for this moment.
But then, I look at this Moon today, and I see pomegranate. Now tell me, do I sound like I don't get out much these days? If you think yes, then you are absolutely right. This is how much I do get out: I took this picture from my office room about an hour ago, and to my surprise, it turned out to be perfect (to my standard), plus it looks like my favourite fruit. In addition, I snapped a few pictures of the lamps from across the street. Now, do you think I still need to get outside to get good results? So what's on my plate for 2009? Well, I was going to tell you, but maybe I will surprise you. No, I am not going anywhere. Just minor changes to my blog layout and posts—general housekeeping. It's good to make a change just to get the energy going.
Lastly, a while ago, I wrote this a Story Blob blog post about children being killed during the war. Some of you read it, but I will re-link it again. It's just that the whole thing about Gaza attacks bothers me a lot. It is a complicated situation, but this needs to stop, and I feel helpless. I feel for the children, and I feel for the mothers who see their children die. It is a bit ironic that, without even thinking about it, I included dark pictures with this post, but there is always light and hope. I guess art can express emotions and feelings.

Just to let you know, you are posting wonderful stuff here at your blog.
And from what I have observed, it is not the design of the blog, it is what is inside that makes it popular and successful. The same thing applies to our lives. It is what is inside us that counts and make us go up.

Great shot of the window. It projects a dark atmosphere...which I like. Oh, and of course your moon shot is excellent...as always.
You write "Its good to make a change just to get the energy going. You're right. A change in direction just to revitalize is a good thing.
Take care.

And here's wishing for a more peaceful New Year, for Gaza, for all of us, for all the children under the shadow of war.
I agree with you on the Gaza conditions - so heartbreaking. We must keep them in our prayers.
take care,
Kathy
Anna, what beautiful photos!!! The moon does look like pomegranates and the second photo has great dark and light colors. Awesome!!!
Your poignant story touched my heart. I wish war wouldn't have to happen in this day and age.
Hugs, JJ
Anna :)
What a gorgeous moon!! And you took it from your bedroom window? Girl, you are even more talented than I thought :D!
LOL I think you would get good results even if you wouldn't get out ever again: it is in your veins! However, I can't wait for Spring time...that way you and Matthew will be able to go out and take even greater photos :D!
Change is good! So, do your housekeeping, no problem!
Yes, I have read your post and I have commented it already...What is happening is sad, no doubt, but the Gaza population were the ones choosing their present situation by voting in the wrong terrorist organisation such as Hamas (those guys use women and children as human shields; it is as simple and tragic as that).
Cheers
BTW for those who read this comment, let me translate 'drugi rok w chmurach' - means 'second year in the clouds'.
Anna :)
Yes Gaza issue is terrible.

Yes I also cannot wait for spring. Oh just looking forward, it will be so much fun.
Thanks again for your comment on the other post, just little behind answering. You know how it is, lol.
But I know what you mean. The human shield is the worst thing a human would do to other human.
Thanks again may friend.
Anna :)
Happy adventures my friend. It will be so much fun knowing that you are always on the road. You should have a map on your blog with little dot showing us where you are, lol.
Thanks again,
Anna :)
"Oh my dear friend Max, you always make me laugh. No no talent girl, I tell you the truth, these days cameras do all the work, just need someone to click. Okay I will take a credit for it a bit, lol."
lol I am glad I make you laugh :)! lol...yes, take the credit...you deserve it!!
"Yes I also cannot wait for spring. Oh just looking forward, it will be so much fun."
I know it will!! Only two months away...time will fly!
"Thanks again for your comment on the other post, just little behind answering. You know how it is, lol."
You are welcome, girl! Yes, I know how it goes...don't worry!
"But I know what you mean. The human shield is the worst thing a human would do to other human."
It may not be the worst thing a human can do to another fellow human (I can think of one thing or two that can be worst)...but it shows a total lack of respect for life itself, and in this case an utter lack of respect for those who voted for them (thus depositing in them their trust that they'd improve their life and develop their country) *nodding*.
"Thanks again may friend."
My pleasure, darling :D!
It's terribele to see the violence in Gaza, the situation is complicated and it makes you feel helpless indeed.
Great pictures from you window. Who would ever have guessed that a giant pomegranate circles the earth.LOL
Happy trails.
Have a great weekend :)
I hope too that this year will be better, may be being busy with economic crisis will keep us off the streets, lol.
Yes looks like the moon is now my specialty, lol, no science there, just steady hand for now, lol.
Thanks again John.
Anna :)
