Tonight I had a few ideas to blog about as I was going through last summer's photo gallery. I ended up scrapping them all when I came across one of my favourite flowers that was connected to many things. Sometimes I find myself thinking that my posting frequency these few months has declined due to a few things, some of which are the winter and the cold that comes along, then work and other things that prevented me from exploring winter wonderland, so yes, please do not forget me, LOL.
Secondly, for those who are awaiting spring after living through a long winter, it's coming. No sign here yet, but I think we are getting rain tonight that will fall on banks of snow in front of our house. Forget-Me-Nots are not the first flowers in the spring; however, as soon as they start blooming at the beginning of summer, I cannot get enough of them. This photo was taken at home, as I collected a bunch of them from my garden, along with my Lilly of the Valley.
Enjoy!

That is really a beautiful shot - one worthy of framing. Your talent is truly amazing.
Spring will be here before you know it, and then you'll have another chance to photograph those lovely flowers.
Have a nice day.
Godbless and love you
........Forget Me Not.........
Legend has it that in medieval times, a knight and his lady were walking along the side of a river. He picked a posy of flowers, but because of the weight of his armour he fell into the river. As he was drowning he threw the posy to his loved one and shouted "Forget-me-not".
It was often worn by ladies as a sign of faithfulness and enduring love
btw, if you want to see spring flowers, please come over to my blog. I found yesterday the 5 signs of spring...:-)
Cheers,
DSM
This is a beautiful picture, as always. I enjoy reading about Spring still, as we are going into Autumn, but many flowers are still out and blooming. i'll have to go through and look at some old summer shots too.

Flowers are so great a little piece of art from itself, but you make them look even better, I agree... I cannot get enough from looking at flowers , I won't forget your blog...
Greetings JoAnn
This is a beautiful flower photo. Such nice colors. We like it a lot. It is wonderful that you have flowers like this in your garden (in the early summer!).

We have this wild flower spread to several locations on our land and I adore seeing their powdery blue color against the greenery of the forest.
Hugs, JJJ
Lovely photo of the forget-me-not. It brings back a special memory :) Thanks for rekindling it.
Regarding peacocks.. omg, I am still scared of them.. But strangely, I like other birds! :P

My posting frequency has been off, too, due to other things and being tired out from my show. But we all know that life takes over, and we can't always get to the things we want to do.
Anna, neither I nor your other readers will forget you or your posts--of that you can be sure! I'm so glad to have met you on the Blogosphere!
And thanks for stopping by to say hello the other day! :)

I will not forget you! I may be slow at times but I won’t forget…. :)
Anna this image is excellent! One of my faves of yours….
I have seen on the news that back east you guys are getting some bad weather and its great you have posted a summer image at this time, its nice to perk people moral and put a smile on their face at the thought of a warm Sun….
Thanks for sharing such a lovely photo with us!
By the way from looking at the number of comments you get there is no worries about you being forgotten! LOL
I know you are busy too Lynda. Ensure to take care of yourself and rest well. Often I use rain as excuse to rest in bed, lol.
And I'm so glad to meet you too on the Blogosphere! Thanks for not forgeting.
Anna :)
You are right about the snow, its been snowing all day here. We cleaned snow twice, but on the end it is useless. Lots of drifts, and for this snow storm they like to accumulate around our house, I think looking out the window now, we have snow up to our knees, and it is only after 11 pm, and still snowing.
You are right about the comments, but you have to remember to always devided my comments by two (=visitors), because I respond to each of them.
Thanks again for your comment and visit, and if you get a chance send some nice Vancouver warm air our way, we really do need some here.
Anna :)
Do you know the saying about March? In like a lion out like a lamb? The idea being that if the weather is bad at the start of March them it will be good at the end.
We have deal here in Vancouver that we are not supposed to tell everybody out east about our great weather or everybody will want to move here but we do get more than our share of rain and it was a year of more snow than usual.
You are such a gracious and talented hostess that your fans always come for a visit.
Great photo Anna, CG just took a look and loved it also!
From an Isle Of Man, daily blogging Photographer, simply stunning breathtaking images.A great find, but why has it taken me so long?

Too late LS, I may consider Vancouver one day lol - you told me too much. You know may be density of people causes some crazy weather ups and downs. Just like this, when you wash your car it always rain. So my explanation was that because everyone washes cars during nice weather, the water evaporates, and then falls next day, lol. But no body believes me....
LS thanks again for your kind comments, but you are also very good host yourself, just the time you spend to answer to all your visitors it always amazes me. Thanks again, to you and CG. Anna :)
Its raining here so we are back to our default position! LOL
Hopefully there won’t be any flooding when the melt off starts. Shoveling snow can be a nice form of exercise as long as it is done safely :)
Have you ever played snow golf?
Is everybody washing their cars because of the salt or is it vanity? Aren’t they making the roads even more icy?
When I was a kid growing up in the Rockies we would sometimes ski or even skate to school depending whether there was snow or the roads were that icy.
Be careful out there!
…and Anna that is a great image its good to see you getting some mileage out of it….
Beautiful picture. It achieves what I know you wanted ... the herald of an upcoming spring.

Thought you should know.
You said: 'but I wanted to say that this picture has all the qualities that I strive for when I take my nature photography. Absolutely brilliant.' - thank you so much for your kind words. Word of advice, just relax and click and you will get it.
Thanks again, Anna :)
Forget me nots are beautiful flowers, once I was thinking to take some seeds and spread them in the areas where I hike, lol. It is nice that you can enjoy them during your spring walks. Thanks again, Anna :)
I just posted about Alpine Forget-me-not's photographed at high altitude in Alaska.
Keep up the good work and have a great week-end
