Facts About the Savannah Sparrow [Passerculus sandwichensis]
Savannah Sparrow was named for the city in Georgia where it was first spotted. Some live in the grassy marshes and wet meadows, and this is where I spotted this beautiful little bird. I was lucky to get a few pictures before my son Matthew scared him away by calling 'Birdie, birdie'.

I had to smile ..... we teach them to love animals and birds then they chase then away by running after them. :)
Anna that is just a beauty!!!!!
A beautiful little bird, and you photographed it so well. I grey up with those little guys in my neck of the woods, but I didn't know what their name was. I lived in the desert and we just called them sparrows. There must be a million different kinds of sparrows.
Happy trails.
I am so curious about small animals.
If you watch to small things you will discover a new Universe...
Such a cute birdie!! I loved the card: it is peaceful (anyone getting it would feel this peace) - well done :D!
Cheers
I like your point of view.
