Who Is The Artist?

"If one really loves nature, one can find beauty everywhere." ~ by Vincent van Gogh

Today is another beautiful day of discovery in my neighbourhood.
Nature will always find a way to show off her beauty. I and Matthew went out for our usual one-hour exploration walk around the subdivision. As he was looking for his friends and calling anyone his size a friend, "Hi friends," I was looking for things nature would let me take a snapshot of. Sometimes, it is just the same thing over and over again, but then these grooves on the side of the curb caught my eye. It rained last night, so all the earthworms were out. They found a way to slide close to the curb on the soft, wet sand. Not knowing, they created a nice abstract art work, which I am showing off today.

"Art will never be able to exist without nature." ~ by Pierre Bonnard

Me gustan las fotos de lo que no tiene importancia y pasa desapercibido para las demás personas: son las mejores¡¡¡¡

I used to play with earthworms when I was small, they are such simple beings. The pattern left by 'coily' earthworms (don't know their English name) is also beautiful, looks like spirals. :) Thanks Anna, my morning is nicer!

Hey Anna,

This is one beautiful abstract! I must congratulate the artists: the warms LOL! Seriously now, your eyes caught a real natural beauty :D.

But what I liked was to hear that Matthew calls everybody his size "Hi friends" - how cute is that? That baby boy is a perfect PR...I am telling you!

Excellent post :D!

Cheers

You've got a great eye to see and capture this abstract art.
Hi Anna,

I, too, loved the idea of Matthew calling everyone his size "friends" - he is starting out life on the right foot for sure!

I've never noticed worm art, but love this abstract image that your sharp eye spotted, and will be on the lookout for nature art in my surroundings.
This is really an amazing find Anna! So nice of you to share it :)

I have tagged you on my 7 Things About Me [I've been tagged!] post

Hi Anna,
This is so true... Nature is full of Natural art and we sometime take it for granted and overlook at it!! You took a beautiful picture and I love the way you're looking at nature!
There is no artist as good as Mother Nature. She supplies us with an endless variety so things are never dull. What a great capture Anna.

La naturaleza nos regala continuamente imágenes fantásticas. Algunas fáciles de ver, pero también muchas otras que hay que saber aislar y capturar con la cámara; tan estupendamente como en esta fotografía. Saludos.

It makes a lovely abstract, like a landscape. I guess it IS an earthworm landscape!

I'm glad you got out with Matthew.

He's outgoing like our daughter was. When we went grocery shopping, she would sit in the shopping cart saying, "Hello, Man," and "Good Morning, Lady," to everyone! Too much "Mr. Rogers," I guess, lol....

Anna:

Absolutely wow! You have such a keen eye for natural detail. I love this shot. It kind of reminds of Europa, the sixth moon of Jupiter. Check it out.

Happy trails.

Earthworms as artists, and good ones they are.

Your story reminds me of when my youngest daughter was quite younger and very outgoing and friendly. We went to a basketball game and when we got inside she tried to let go of my hand saying, "I need to go find my friends!". I said that I was not sure she knew anyone there and she said something along the lines of: "Well not yet, but when I do they will be my friends, can I go now".

Very artistic image, Anna! I love it!
Thanks for sharing this shot. If you don't tell me that this art was made by earthworms, I will guess about texture of rock.

Interesting image Anna, you definitely have an artistic eye. Beautiful capture and framing. Really like the textures and details here. Amazing how a child sees the world, so innocent and unprejudiced.
