The American stand-up comedian, actor, and author George Carlin once said, "The caterpillar does all the work, but the butterfly gets all the publicity". Yes, I am the caterpillar, and the beautiful butterfly is the photographed butterfly.
Frankly, I don't know who George Carlin is, but it seems like this quote fits my post. My changes to this blog are final. I think I spent too much time on it. I know if I change something again, I will start over. The attraction to different colour schemes is unbelievable. Any colour I applied to this blog template, I liked. Well, many of you expressed that it is not the blog theme that makes this blog beautiful; it is the author's work. I completely agree with you, but I needed to organize my blog a bit. After all, it is my small bit of Internet space I own, or, to be politically correct, I rent for free from Google. Being organized is my thing. In addition, it is like dusting your office, and suddenly you feel a nice breeze of air. I know it is hard to apply this to the world wide web, but it feels like a few things just got untangled here.
So where is the big change? As I outlined, the template is new: the 3-column Blogger template. I changed my top header [my nephew] and my colour scheme from blue to minty green. Yes, minty green.
UPDATE: Not anymore.

The image really pops out from the blogs black background. Beautiful job...I like the way the orange in the butterfly wings contrasts nicely with the green background in the image. Very vivid very lively. Very nice.
Also, I like your new blog look.
You write "I needed to organize my blog a bit - after all it is my small bit of Internet space I own . I feel the same way however, whenever I feel like closing t now I just change the blog layout LOL. And like you I have gone through dozens of templates, liking every one until finally settling on the one I have now...and even that one might change in the near future. One thing for sure..I'm learning how to edit HTML LOL
To wrap this up? Excellent image...excellent new look. Have a great week :-)

It really looks great. I didn't know that Blogger offered a three column template.
Congratulations of a fine job.
Happy trails.
btw, I'm back to my palm tree photos again...LOL...

The new design is GREAT! The logo is so cool too!
And beautiful butterfly photo there.
(PS, you're a butterfly too!)
Leo :)
George Carlin was a cool hippie comedian in the seventies, Dave.... Dave's not here, lol, cracks me up every time I say it, of course you'd have to know who George was and listen to his albums to get that,lol...lol. Dave's not here, lol. I'll go now.
I never picked up on you being an engineer. You are just the sort of engineer the profession needs. Most of the engineers I know really fit the stereotype, but I don't think you do.
My son is in the first year of engineering at Oregon State University. I don't know if he will stick with it. It is much more work than he expected. He is good at math and physics, but links to have time for sports and friends too.
Of course the author's work is the most important but the template can help to make it better. Nice work.

I will look up George on youtube, there got to be something, lol. Thanks Bob again, Anna :)
Yes I am, but I have not been doing true engineering for many years now. Just consulting. I know what you mean about other engineers, even me being an engineer, sometimes I feel like I am different. BTW my husband is too an engineer, same class, go figure, lol.
Hopefully your son will stick with it. All this hard work will pay off one day. Engineering is excellent foundation for future job security, because is so versatile. I have degree in mechanical, but I have done chemical stuff, plastics, design, r&d management etc. Little hard work at the beginning will pay off later, and he can do whatever he wants, just need to be creative. Friends are good but they are temporary thing, and I learn the hard way, lol. Setting foundation is very important at this stage of life...
Will thanks again, your comments are always appreciated.
Anna :)
About George, I should look him up on the youtube, lol, then, a little blood circulation on my face will not hurt, lol.
John it means a lot to hear nice complements such that from someone talented like yourself. Thank you.
Anna :)
Alex I dont' write Spanish, just using a translator, so hopefully you can take it easy on me :)
I second your comments to Will about engineers, I'm a EE, it opened a lot of doors for me. Looking forward to your tech stuff, I'm addicted been trying to break the habit and move on to the creative world. Grateful to have found your small bit of internet space...
The weather moved all the way to the 20s today. WOOT!!! Michigan has warmed up some. Hope it's been better weather for you and Matthew too.
Hugs, JJ/Nancy
I loved George Carlin, have ever since my older brother, who looked like him, imitated him when I was young. He was a remarkable, astute critic of our culture and government, and it was a huge loss when he died last year. In his stand-up routine he would make simple statements or ask basic questions. Like: "They found a Mohican." And: "If it's against the law to drink and drive, why are there parking lots next to bars?"
How are you dong, great I ques, I red with growing interst youir article, Love the butterfy too, Thank you for the good wishes for my mom and for visiting my blog

I forgot to mention that I really like your new header.
happy trails.
Engineering also opened many different venues in my life, and I don't regret. As a matter fact I would recommend for everyone to do engineering, actually teaches discipline, lol.
About being creative, you know I like it better, even engineering stuff is looking good. Good for you MikeH you go and break that habit, lol, once you find your creative side, it will be hard to get back to the structure stuff as engineering sometimes seemed.
Thanks for your nice comment, and I guess I will have to remember the 'buns of steal' lol, that's I call being creative.
Anna :)

It looks great!! Congratulations, darling :D!
I had heard of 3 columns templates, but I haven't had the time to try it yet! But it looks great!
It will be my pleasure to learn stuff from you; and that is my option: to read and comment it :D!
Loved the new font!
Cheers
BTW Matthew waves hello!
"Max, hey thanks. BTW your blog has three columns. This one has one more that has additional split on the right, and on the bottom has three columns. May be that's what you meant. Thanks for dropping by and commenting, hugs, Anna :)"
You're welcome. Oh yes, I forget that the main-wrapper is also a column (in my mind when I speak of column I am talking about the sidebars - that's what I meant, sorry).
Hugs,
Congratulations.

Pozdrawiam gorąco też!
I will be over your blog soon,
Anna :)
I do think it's a good idea to have separate posts for showing your photos and disclosing information.
In regards to pink, can you tell me if you find the violet hues on my blog objectionable? I have'nt asked for feedback on that, but now is a good time, in view of your post....
I will say to you, Anna, that we enjoy getting to know you, no matter what your format is! :)
About your blog, I will be going over your place to look at it again. I love those violet hues, but you know your artwork and your writing always stands out more. However, the whole setting you have now is really nice and cozy, its like going to library and finding this nice sitting area with beautiful artwork and books around you.
Beaming over...
Anna :)
Take Care,
Peter
They say content is king meaning that the writing/videos/photos are what the blog is about and if the quality is there then the blog will be popular. I don’t really agree with this. Now of course I do want quality of content on blogs I visit and also on my own blogs! LOL However I think that many other things also come into play…the look, feel and style of the blog are important to many (read most) guests. The speed of its loading on the computer, the popularity, the comments, frequency of posts, trustworthiness of information, timeliness of topics, length of articles, the personality of the host are all important etc. Then there is search engine optimization for web based guests….and of course in the blogging community it is also often you scratch my back I scratch yours…fortunately for me I have some blogging friends like yourself that are deeper in quality of character and visit even when I fall behind! Thanks!
Black is fabulous for photo/art blogs this is why I also use it on Life (also Chocolate Girl’s preference)…I use a different colour on Creation to express its own identity and separateness from its “big brother” Life…Pink on your blog fits if you move to more of a mommy and me blog but if you still intend to be more photo oriented then I prefer black…and of course I love your content and you are a fabulous hostess and blogging friend!
LS my friend thanks again!
Anna :)
