I often get out at night to take photos of my all-time favourite object in the sky, the moon.
I continue to wait for something to happen on the moon, or I am just a moon addict who takes 24 or more pictures of the moon every time. Decisions need to be made then. I am undecided about what photo to keep. I keep them all. My hard drive space for all my photos, not just the moon photos, is shrinking exponentially.
I do remember days where I used to create files on the 3.5" floppy, then CDs, then DVDs, and now I have a 500 GB external hard drive that is almost full. It's time for another one.
I don't know how much I can talk about the moon here when everything else has already been said: what is the moon made of, how old is the moon, and where did the moon come from? In reality, I think we are continuously learning about the moon. Answers are not definite.
Perhaps I have learned one new thing: things that we know about not just the moon but also about the universe, or Earth, are theories. For example, how did the moon form? We will never know. A lot of them are valid theories, but they are just theories—explanations based on observations, experimentation, and reasoning.
Lastly, let me leave you with my collection of moon photos I took in September and October for you to enjoy and wonder what's on the far side of the moon.

What's on the far side of the moon is of little concern to me though. I shoot, chimp, and go.
I must say though...you have it down to a science. Excellent photography.
Crisp, clean...very professional. Well done.

Sometimes I tried to take a picture from the moon, but I had really poor results...
My Lions:I was at about 3 meters and I will never forget their eyes.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
Bye
I would agree with you, we know so little yet so much about the Moon, that's why we have to go back I tells ya.
Me and the moon have a special connection, what that is I don't know, I just know it's a part of me somehow, about the far side, da, that's where the alien bases are, lol.
Thanks for all your comments on my blog Anna! Kisses to your little "frog" xx:)xx
Take care...and thanks for the wonderful comments at my revamped site.

Thanks for the vissit and your comments.
Your moon pics are always so good. I have given up with my camera, the lens is just not good enough.
Your son realy looks like a delightful and happy little fellow.
Hope this gets through as I am having trouble getting connected to blogger
Great moon pictures,
how in the world do you shoot them?
Great photos, Anna! And I hear you on the storage space - one 500 and one 250 externals are full - almost time for another one!
Five hundred gigabytes! Unbelievable. A few short years ago such numbers were unthinkable. In fact, even as we landed on the moon, crude computers were still wrestling with mere kilobytes. How things have changed.
I love your moon shots. They're so clear and crisp. Well done.
Happy trails.
Wild wave, girlfriend. Good to see you out and about. :D
Hugs, JJ
Swubird, thank you for your comment, appreciated, there will be more Moons to come in the near future. Anna :)
And I must say, your external hard drive would find it impossible to record the names behind these eyes!
From the very first time mankind set eyes upon it, little has changed in its appearance but we still hold it in awe.
So will your child, his children and there children and so on and so on, until the end of time.
Take Care,
Peter
This week Bob has us all looking for the daytime moon. Let us know if you get a photo of it.
That is a lot of external hard disk space to fill in with the moon, girl lol!
Anyway, I loved the Moon photos...there is something about the moon that mystifies us all (it seems) :D!
I just can't get enough of them!
A big hug to you and Matthew :)!
Cheers
LOL I guess you were sleepy already! :)
You are welcome, darling!
Awww...Matthew!!! Hugs and kisses to him too :D!
And a hug for his mom!!
Cheers
Marvellous Moon photos!
A “3.5 floppy”….must be before my time like 8 tracks…. ;)
As for the Moon here it is….
14 Then God said, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them mark off the seasons, days, and years. 15 Let these lights in the sky shine down on the earth.” And that is what happened. 16 God made two great lights—the larger one to govern the day, and the smaller one to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set these lights in the sky to light the earth, 18 to govern the day and night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.

Sure make me feel old….LOL
About the camera, I have Canon 20D, but to get pictures like this lens with better zooming capability is required, I used to shoot with 75-300mm Canon zoom lens, and now I shoot with 100-400mm zoom lens. Anna :)
Nice blog too Anna :)
