...and Moon, lol. My baby Matthew is now over 2 months old, and he will be getting his first immunization needles tomorrow. He is so adorable and growing too fast. I will miss those first days when he was born. I can trace every step from the time Matthew was born, but some of the stuff is slowly fading as there are always new things happening every day. We have been taking short walks around our subdivision for now, and believe me, I am finding a lot of interesting things about our neighbourhood. I guess I have a limit on how far we can walk from home, as Matthew still feeds every two hours during the day—yes, he is one hungry baby. We have also gone to our local boardwalk, which is minutes away.
My camera continues to travel with me; however, I cannot wait for the birds as I used to. Oh well, there are always bugs to photograph, and that is what I did the other day. I went to the backyard and started to chase bees, bumble bees, ants, spiders, wasps, hornets, and flies. I was actually practising with manual zoom and trying to freeze the wings of the flying bee—no shortage this time after 100 shots. On the other hand, I wasn't impressed with the selection of bugs in my backyard; I think I used to have dragon flies and praying mantises too, and where are they when you need them? However, something interesting has been discovered.
At night—yes, nights are now busy as well—I went to the window in the kitchen and discovered many different green bugs on the window. I guess next time I will get myself a bug collection kit and collect them for the photo shoot. So tonight, as I will be going through hundreds of bumble bee photos, I leave you with this set of sunset photos I took when we went for the walk today. Photo Date: July 8, 2008

btw, do you have seen the award I gave to you? :-)
Our first was crabby baby, colic, we took lots of car rides at night to say the least, lol.
Treasure every moment, they grow up way too fast and before you know it, they know everything and you know nothing, lol.
Glad you still have your camera picture taking thing going on, just beautiful Sunset images.
Gorgeous photos! It is hard to keep up after birds, isn't it? I am sure any bug pictures you will be taking will be awesome too. Hope you are enjoying spending time with Matthew.
Thanks for visiting again, and I will see you again soon!

Nice post. It reminded me of when my own children were born. Mostly I remember the total lack of sleep, as I sat in the rocking chair for endless hours. But now they are all grown and the past seems so long ago - like a different century.
My favorite time was when the kids reached about four or five years old. They are so much fun at that age, and they need your help so much to guide them and teach them. Every new day is a new adventure.
Happy trails.
As for those bugs, I can see him pulling the wings off, one by one.
Should make a great shot and something to show him on his 21st birthday.
Take Care,
Peter
Oh, yes...now Matthew will start growing non-stop! Soon, he'll be eating real soups, his teeth will grow, then he'll start eating bread...so sweet! :)
Wow...these pictures are amazing, darling! I love sunsets, and these are just lovely (with the trees and all)!
Give a big hug to Matthew for me, and have a great week, dear :D!
Cheers
I can't say that there was any time when the oldest were growing up that was better or worse than another time. But it is really sad when they go off to college or on with their adult lives. Leaves a big empty space to try and fill.
Wild wave!!!

You are a wonderful photographer and a equally good mom who loves nature so much. Mathew is very lucky to have you as his mom, he'll definitely make you run after him. Let him grow a bit. :)
Your photos are excellent. If you have a photo of sunrise (which I am sure you would have because of Mathew ;) ), you can participate here. The last date is 20th July.

It seems like just the other day that our first child arrived and now I am a grandfather - time seems to go so fast and they change so quickly - so treasure each moment.
