The Caterpillar Does All The Work But The Butterfly Gets All The Publicity
The American stand-up comedian, actor and author George Carling once said: "The caterpillar does all the work but the butterfly gets all the publicity". Yes I am the caterpillar, lol, as many of you will be noticing this beautiful butterfly instead. Frankly, I don't know who George Carling is, but it seems like this quote fitted my post. My changes to this blog are final. I think I spend too much time on it, and I know if I change something again, I will start over. The attraction to different color schemes is unbelievable. Any color I applied to this blog template, I liked - believe or not there was once a pink color. Well, many of you expressed: it is not the blog theme that makes this blog beautiful, it is the author's work. I completely agree with you, but I needed to organize my blog a bit - after all it is my small bit of Internet space I own, or to be politically correct - I rent for free from Google. Organization is my big thing. In addition, it is like dusting your office and suddenly you feel a nice breeze of air. I know it is hard to apply this to the world wide web, but it feels like few things just got untangled here.
So where is the big change. As I outlined, the template is new, 3-column blogger template, with the one on the right that splits into 2 more columns. I changed my top header [my nephew], and my color scheme from blue to minty green. Yes, minty green. Lastly, I will be posting two posts at the same time. One will be my photo post, followed by any of the following potential categories: 'A Bit of Knowledge' post, 'Something To Read' post, 'Awards' post, 'Tags' post, or 'Welcome New Blogger' post, etc. By trade I am an engineer, and knowledge is a big thing for me, especially science and application of science. Is there science or engineering in photography? Yes there is. There is science and its application everywhere, even in art - how about paint, how about graphical software - sometimes all that is hidden from us, and as users we don't see how things that look so simple are complicated. My goal in the second post will be to share with you any knowledge I have, may be some useful techniques I know, any resources I find, and sometimes just plain and simple facts. Is this sounds like rocket science to you? May be not, but it will be stuff good to know. And then there will be general stuff too. The bottom line is I don't want to mix my photo rambling with technical stuff I would like to share with the world.
Is this too much for you? I asked myself. No it isn't, because you are in control and you have a choice. You have a choice to visit and glance at the photo, you have a choice to comment, you have a choice to read both posts or just one. There is no judgment here. Just enjoy yourself, and have fun! Remember, blogging is not supposed to be stressful.

Welcome to my 'A Bit of Knowledge' session post. The inspiration came from you, yes you bloggers. Some of you made changes to your blogs, some of you applied something new and interesting to your blog, and some of you just wrote something that inspired me. While ago, I received this award from

This is not the biggest Moon of 2009, however, it is only smaller by few days and a bit eaten by the shadow, lol. Yes, weather did not co-operated with me this time, and I was prepared. However, I tell you, I look at this Moon today and I see pomegranate. Now tell me - do I sound like I don't get out much these days. If you think yes, then you are absolutely right. This is how much I do get out - I took this picture from my office room about one hour ago, and to my surprise turned out to be perfect, plus it looks like my favorite fruit. In addition I snapped a few pictures of the lamps from across the street. Now do you think I still need to get out outside to get good results?
Lastly, while ago I wrote this post on my Story Blob about children being killed during the war. Some of you read it, but I will re-link it again. Its just the whole thing about Gaza attacks bothers me a lot. It is complicated situation, but this needs to stop, and I feel helpless. As a feel for the children, I feel for the mothers seeing their children die. It is a bit ironic that not even thinking I included dark pictures with this post, but there is always light, and hope. I guess art can equal to emotions and feelings expressed.
